For those of you that are definitely attending this year, we are curious as to what kind of riding you are planning on doing. I know a few were thinking of bringing off road only bikes and hitting an off road park one day, but I'm not trying to capture that info. Just DS, street and mixed.

Well, since the knobbies didn't come in for the Wing, and my wife is riding with me, I'll have to stay mostly on pavement. My KLR is jealous though!

Looking at doing three alternative routes after hearing how spectacular I was told they were:

Huckleberry Mountain,

Mocassin Gap,

and Mill Creek

"The Ozark National Forest offers three spectacular multiple use trails - the Moccasin Gap Horse Trail, the Huckleberry Mountain Horse Trail, and Mill Creek Trail. Although the first two trails were designed primarily for horseback riding, all three trails are also open to hiking, mountain bike riding, and off-highway vehicles (OHVs). "

Anyone else game to try them out? :trust:

I'm more interested in riding the dirt routes outlined in the guide. Those OHV riding areas are fun but exploring the forest roads is more what this ride is about.

I voted Rusty. I used the one that most fit my intention. But you need a column for the "How fur can I git up n them ther hills!" :lol2: Only time I want to see pavement, I will be walking out of the Oark Store with a belly full of food. :eat:

I like options ! I'll be on the GG 450.

My dirt bike has slicks so I'm canyon carving! I might venture off on a nice trail if the opportunity presents itself but it would have to be E-A-S-Y.....:eek2:

I'm bringing the 1200GS and the KLR 650. I am thinking one day for the KLR and one for the GS. I might be convinced to lead a street ride one of the days. However, be warned that it will be a long ride (prob 400+ miles). I have a lot of favorite roads to hit. I know 400 miles may not sound like a lot to some folks, but when it is mostly twisty roads where you have to concentrate all day, many people start to fatigue and make mistakes later in the day, especially if it is hot. Of course, I may just ride the KLR both days. I'll just have to see what mood I am in when I wake up...

Oh yeah, 400 miles of pig trail, etc., especially at a spirited pace, is a LOT.

My plans are to bring the '07 KLX250, along with my limited skills, for our 1st attempt at more than 1/2 day dual sport ride. I suspect I will be looking for the John Murphy group unless I just find another destination that just need to visit. I like the idea of stopping for coffee and/or ice tea when appropriate.
John plans to trailer/ride up with me, also with the idea of "lighter" dirt roads.
And Jena & Mary plan to ride A&M Railroad passenger train on Saturday.
