Any suggestions that won't add another 100 miles to the trip?
Thanks,

That sounds like a great route. From my house it's another 15 miles to Helotes but for the better ride 55 miles is doable. Thanks for your suggestion.

Looking for a tent site, south llano park it's full and KOA wants too much $. Any suggestion? I would appreciate the help on the tent situation. I know some park allows up to 4 tents per site. I just need a tent site for Friday night. Looking foward to dirt/off road riding...

Hi Ital/Vzia, I'm right there with you. Too bad the park is full.

Anyone else riding up tomorrow? I'm heading out from Austin around 9AM Friday.

I have the truck packed with the bike in the back. I have to work most of the day but hope to get down to Junction by 7pm. Looking forward to riding all day Saturday and maybe a little Sunday morning if anyone else is up for it.

Last year some of us camped at the city park. Wasn't a bad deal. They only open the restrooms if you rent the pavillion for the weekend.
There is also Morgan's Shady Park right on the edge of town, I don't know if they have space or not.
I'm comming in sometime in the mid day and will be hunting a camp site as well.
Good Luck,
Dana

Hi swolf, I will try to get an early start tomorrow about 5 am. maybe trying to get to Junction some time around 9am.
I guess if I don't find a park, a side of the road will have to do me. Have a safe trip.

Hey Guys,

I'll also be looking for a campsite on Fri mid-day. Leaving Austin around 8 am.

Maybe we can do an afternoon ride.

Vinny.

Back home now. Had great camping at the KOA ( $$$ ) Back home. That wind was crazy. Great time !!

Back and in one piece. Is there a post-TAR thread for posting pics and movies? I had a great time and met some great people... and what a great route on the way home despite the wind.

Justin

Thanks to Richard and Connie for all their hard work (again!) to make this a fantastic riding experience. Good roads, good people, good food, good times.
