I bought this bike from the orig owner late in 2016 .... with the intention that it would be my "secondary" bike..... Putting a couple of farkles necessary to fit me on it.....
Well guess what...Im still more comfortable on my V Stroms so its time for someone else to get funtime on this Versys

Low low miles from both the orig owner commuting in College Station(5K) from new...& me ( under 1K) in over a year since I purchased it

Service was done jus before I got it...(oil & filter)
I put in a new air filter Fall 2017
The tires have been changed to a set of Michelin Pilot Road 4s recently Feb 2018 after these pics were taken

The bike is very nimble & much lighter feeling than my 650 V Strom...tank holds appx 5gal of fuel

Prev owner did not ride it on gravel roads... & neither have I

It's like it was built for me. Great looking bike. I wish I could buy it.

Glws...Versys aren't as appreciated as they should be in the motorcycle world. It's like a harley, sportbike, and adventure bike molded into one.

Is that GL 1500 rubber mounted on the stock Versys footpegs ? Interesting.

I rode my Versys to upstate New York and back....great road bike.

More agile and better handler than the V-Strom IMO.

(17" vs.(pardon the pun) 19" front wheel and shorter wheelbase)

Was this bike riding on 90 between madisonville and navasota today? If not, there is a twin to it running around!

Yep.... Remove stock rubbers
Notch wing rubbers inside edge around alloy base with a hole underneath for bolt

That is a great deal for someone. Great bike that is overlooked by many. Quick, nimble, and bulletproof. Good luck with the sale.

How much did the foot pegs get lowered? I've got a 34" inseam and wonder how I might fit.

I had one of these (an '08) and wish I hadn't sold it. When I felt the urge to hop on a bike and go for a 60-90 min ride out on the FM roads south of Tyler, I ended up hopping on the 650 Versys more often than the FJR.

It comes pretty close to the ride of a supermoto. I found that I could corner it a bit faster than I felt comfortable taking the FJR. That motor spits out a nice amount of very usable power. I'm 6'2", 250lb and it hauled my big self around at a very respectable clip.

At some point, I may downsize from the FJR. If I ever do, the 650 Versys will be high on my list.

You're rite on the nail there...
This bike is a hoot ta hoon around on..... much more flickable than a Strom 650
...& definately lighter

Ya kno....Versys spelled sideways is TDM850...... & this bike sooo reminds me of the TDM I had bac in 2000-05

They even both have a unique look

Thinking of selling my V when it warms up. If that happens before you sell it I still may be interested. I would like to test ride one but know I would fall in love with it.

Thinking too big, but when I sell mine we will see what's available. I know both your bikes will sell after a couple weeks of warm weather, they are priced well.
