I spent last week in São Paulo and witness some of the craziest (and accomplished) riders I've ever seen.

I was stuck in traffic held to about 10 kph and these riders were splitting lanes at 60 kph. It was insane. In down town, they would needle their way through traffic weaving their heads back and forth so their heads wouldn't impact the side mirrors on busses.

Crazy? Yes! But they were very accomplished and skilled riders. I grabbed a shot of a motorcycle cop sitting outside my hotel. Nice bike!

And a couple more shots around town...

Sweet, Big D.....thanks for sharing! :sun:

Neat... I have never been to Sao Paulo. I have flow in and out of Rio a few times when I worked out of Macae.

Did you try any of the cusine or did you stay and eat in your hotel while you were there. Some of my most favorite food on the planet is Brazilian (Portuguese)

Oh yes, I did enjoy the local cuisine! I had a coworker with me who was familiar with the area and directed us to some fine eateries.

I especially enjoyed getting my Parmesan cheese straight from the cheese wheel. :)

What? No beach shots? :trust:

There are no beaches in SP. You have to go 25 miles or so south to Santos to reach them. SP is one of the largest cities in the world (and most polluted too). In it not unusual to spend 2 hours in traffic and only have traveled 4 blocks!

I have a family relative in marketing. One of there accounts is Vale, the Brazilian mineral company.

On Wednesday it took us an hour to travel about 8 blocks. I have a new appreciation for the lack of traffic in DFW. :)

I prefer a more rural setting so São Paulo is not a place I would ever consider living but it was great to visit and experience the culture.
