Hey Mextrek Amigos, post your pictures, videos, and experiences here as they unfold. We shove off tomorrow at 8. About 45 riders with a few already in Galeana and Santiago.

Doc Gabe made this awesome little piece of magic from his 4 day mextrek and a few photos from his buddies that continued south to Day of the Dead. It's quite good actually:

As the 2nd to last rider back from Mexico I thought I would be the last one posting my stories today.... where are all the stories and pics and videos?

Just a reminder, no one will be allowed to register for an upcoming Mextrek without forum participation. Everyone agreed to this.

Great photos Cody. Cody was a first timer and helped us out by driving Eddie's truck back to Katy in a pinch. Thanks again Cody!

But, they are all HEIC files, apple proprietary, so we can't download to Android. Thanks Obama!

And TWTEX can't process either?

Thanks for having me! It was the best riding I've done to date with some great people.

I'll poke around in the settings to see how to convert them all. Otherwise on a computer you can click on the picture to open it. Right click on the image to 'save image as' to get it in JPEG.

Great pics all! Looks like a heck of a trip!

Day 1 started out like any other day in Galiana...

....all fueled up, we go south to the El Alamar loop....

midway we met up w/ milton & jt's group

afterwards, this is where things started getting ugly...
both brakes locked...our bikes still kept sliding down,

and down, and down...

until we got to the very bottom, and the trail ended right here....

so, we turned around, tried going back up ...

Futile attempts prompted us tothrow in the towel, sent off several inreach texts to let everyone know our situation,
and then we dozed off for the night right here

...slept like hibernated bear....

the following morning... we survived!

sun came out w/ a vengeance, by noon, dried up the mud climbs to the point where we rode back up to the top of the mountain, greeted by the rescue team

and, all's well that ends well. Our big group carried on and rode out

...and....that's a wrap!

Spent the following day leaving Galiana to San Miguel. Once we got to the hotel, unpacked, walked a couple blocks to this steak house

house specialty =argentinian tenderloin steaks

then walked around the center square...

then to the roof top bar for some after dinner rest and relaxation

and then drive off to another garage
