Post your Day Rides Here!

I had to get one more riding day in for 2022. 168 miles looking for unpaved roads. I found a few.

There are quite a few unpaved roads around Lockhart and Luling.

Hopped back on the west side of I-35 at Kyle and enjoyed the ride around Wimberly on the way home. At the low water crossing below Mansfield Dam.

Happy New Years!

The weatherman said there was a 100% chance of mud in Milam county Friday and for once he was right! Me and @Dudeman70 met in the Little River valley and headed out to the Val Verde-Sharp area.

It went from dry to muck maul in a flash! Good thing we were on big heavy bikes.

We hit Cameron around lunch and enjoyed an awesome TX burger just down the street from Yoe field.

I rode alone this morning, but it was my first time on the road on my "new" Ninja, as a new-ish rider. I intended to only head to Starbucks, but ended up riding around Watauga and Richland Hills. Later on in the morning, I went up to Keller. I did pretty good, and only stalled once because a light turned green while I was slowing down for it. I wasn't expecting that! I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I'm thinking I dumped the clutch. Otherwise, no issues! Just a couple hours of getting a feel for the Ninja.

Happy New Years!
Reminds me of 1967-69 how we used to slide out of the discharges sitting down or standing up on Mansfield Dam. We called it dam sliding. The third gate from the left leaked the most and had more moss. Couple of drowning's and LCRA banned it and later fixed the leaky gates. Google it. It was huge!
Now they would have a armed helicopter circling. Some summer Saturday's there were possibly a hundred people and a dozen or so hippies and a couple of kickers.

Yoe field was where I figured out I was not big enough to play football anymore. Cameron was a real nightmare to play against back then.
I love the little park next to the courthouse. Good place for break with bike and gear within sight.

It looks like a nice area. Perhaps we can ride out there soon.

I guess they had put an end to dam sliding by the time I came along. The best we got was cliff jumping at Pace Bend. How I did not drown out there, I do not know.

Wind Mill Ride today with Bob,Ron,BD,Steve and Rex.

Took a short spin on my green drz to calculate gas mileage. Found a little cemetery just north of Fairchild.
Filled up, road 31.1 miles and then filled up again (0.864 gallons) at the same gas pump. Looks like I got 36 miles to the gallon.
