I'm officially a Two wheeled Texan, as of 10-4 Thursday I'm the proud owner of an 07 Bonneville T100.

Back Story: My first motorcycle was a Ural Tourist with sidecar purchased new three years ago. I loved the Ural, but was looking to get on two wheels. I tried turning the Ural into a solo bike - no success. Decided a couple of months ago to sell the Ural and buy a proper motorcycle. She found a new home last week, so it was off to the dealership.

Saturday morning I was up at dawn to take the bike out for the first ride. 100 miles later I was back at the house with a big grin on my face. :rider: This afternoon I took her out for another 100 mile ride all over Austin and the surrounding area.

I have very little experience on two wheels, and little to compare this bike too. I do know that this bike shifts smoothly, is easy to handle and is a blast to ride.

To be continued...

good choice, can't go wrong with the bonnie

Hey Brian, I met you at Lone Star when you were picking up the Bonnie. Glad to hear your getting along well on the new bike. Did you find the information on the RAID Nov 2nd? Hope your able to make that weekend.

David

Good to meet you the other day. I did get some info on the RAID, I'm not sure if I'm going to go or not. I'm doing Harvest Classic, and will try to swing the RAT RAID. Anyone else from Austin going? How fast does that event fill up?

BTW: I tried registering for the Austin RAT forums, but haven't received a confirmation yet.

Those are cool, unfortunatly Davida doesn't make a helmet big enough for my huge noggin. right now i'm wearing my HJC full face helmet. I might switch to a brain bucket after I get more experience.

No, no! The scarf! The scarf! (and it has to be SILK)

We have it set to confirm because of all the spammer attempts, 1700 just since early March. It does not send out a confirmation email but you are ready to go.

Congrats on the new ride! Looks good :thumb:
