Hey, the Buell is gone! I missed that.

I'm uploading pics right now and will at a real report soon. Good attendence though. Why were the two Austin groups the last to get there?

It was great seeing everyone!

Superb weather, perfect pies and tons of Harley's screaming around every corner was the order of the day. TexFire, our group leader, and I along with our four other fellow TWTEX rider's decided to take the "Long Way Around" and do a section of the Devil's Backbone before going to Kyle. It added about 15-20 minutes to our arrival time.

I am disappointed at myself for forgetting my digital camera. On our return to Austin, we went through some back roads via Blanco and witnessed several deer jumping in front of another rider who was on a trike bike. Thank goodness they missed him! Soon after that we saw a very large wild turkey majestically standing next to a cedar fence post, which would have made a memorable Kodak moment.

BTW, thanks for the test tide on your Transalp.

Okay, I came down from the Round Rock area with my friend Clayton (trailrider77). Worst part of the trip in both directions was RM620 (there was a wreck on the way back). FM 150 was a lot of fun and for a change we didn't get stuck behind a slow vehicle on Hamilton Pool road.

Here are some shots:

What is even stranger is that Denton Don and I were the first ones there, and we live probably the farthest away if not close to it.:eek2:

I pulled in to the garage at 5:40 with just under 500 miles showing on my GPS. What a nice day for a ride:rider::rider:

I followed Don down in the morning, and Jbay rode home with me until the bottom of Lake Whitney, where he turned back towards Waco.

We had a pretty decent ride, almost 402 miles round trip. The fog was as thick as pea soup from Chappell Hill to Carmine and again west of Giddings.

I didn't take many pictures, but here are a couple:

My husband, Mike, and I

Jennifer (NinjaPrincess) and her husband Andy (We rode with them)

Nice to finally meet bmcdonau and his wife, who has to be in more fm pics than anyone else!

Jennifer, Andy, and I shared blueberry and buttermilk pies- both delicious!
Mike had apple pie, he said it would have been better with ice cream, so we stopped in Giddings on the way back for ice cream!

I got there at one. FJR has a picture to prove it. I was just a little late:doh:

yes, RASZ was there - promptly at 1300 hours just as we, the last ones there, were about to pull out.

We left the house in Friendswood at 0620 and returned at 1800 hours 435 miles later. It was a good morning to ride.

I believe I counted 45 bikes at one point.

We have pics to prove it.

We were there about elevenish. It looked like there were more than 45 bikes there at that time. We had blackberry pie and it was terrific. We sat with Ghost Rider and his friends from the Killeen are Tom and Clint. It was good to meet Ctoons and her husband Mike who now holds us responsible for having to ride 200 miles out of the way just to take a picture of a road sign:rofl:. Its a sickness I know.

Great to see ya'll again. Unfortunitly hadn't made a Pie Run since March. Must say one of the most reasonable priced Pie Runs I've been on. Glad the heat subsided a bit from the summer kiln like temps. Heres a few pictures Sherry and I took. Enjoy!

Who took the pictures, Kurt? :thumb:

Sorry I missed this one - looks like a good crowd.

How did avoiding the college football game traffic go?

Leigh took them. We took the tollway both ways. We needed a route without major lean angles, traffic or tall bridges. :lol2:

It is Sunday and I am on the way back home from the pie run. I figured if I was going to ride to Kyle, I might as well ride to Medina to camp. I stayed at Koyote Ranch. Its a nice place with nice people. And of course when I got up I had to ride the Three Sisters before heading back. I took 16 as far as I could. It is a nice road. 70 most of the way with hills and curves. Thank goodness for DQ on Sunday otherwise people would have to go without eating.

It was a beautiful weekend to ride. Belle, I'm sorry I missed you.

Oh Rasz: I'm sorry I missed you too! I asked about you before I left but no one had seen you. They said Soozy had backed out so I figured you weren't coming either. I nearly cried when I saw you were there later on.

We must get together and compare Colorado stories!! I figure a Girl's Ride is in order pretty soon!!

Snoopster and I were talking about that this afternoon. I'm up for a girl's ride and I have a couple of friends who would be too!

I'm in for a girls ride.

Ctoons are you really in Cleveland? That would be a long ride.:eek2:

Doh, DH just told me there is a Cleveland, TX. He hunts a lot-he knows these things lol

I almost canceled out completely because everyone from this area seemed to be canceling and then I slept in. I would have made it around 12 but I follwed my GPS to another Pie Company in the area

It would be great to get together for a girls ride

As Rich posted, a straightforward ride down the interstate put us at the Pie Company at 10:30. As ever, the food was great but the people and bikes make any trip worthwhile.

Afterward, I headed to my Daughter's place near Fredericksburg to visit some Grandchildren.
Passed thru Wimberley and now plan to return when I have more time.
It looks like a really neat stop.

Don--Cute grandkids. Like the apron on your grandson. Next time they need frosting in Fredricksburg they should head over to HEB and buy our new product, Baker's Supreme Premium Frosting Mix. The kids will love to lick the beaters. :eat:

+1 Thanks a lot...

Absolutely on the frosting mix. For now, it works out quite well. Minot licks the beaters/spatula and Hunter licks the bowl. It won't be quite as convenient when Creek begins helping with the cleanup........;-)
