Hey Gang, Mark your calendars....

"Uncle's" Around the Bend #18 will be taking place in Terñingua / Study Butte Texas from Thursday Feb 27th to Sunday Mar 2, 2025.

First Timers:

Arrive a day early to get your feet wet. First timer wecome dinner Wednesday, Feb 26th. First timer ride to the Bad Bunny Lodge for lunch, Thursday Feb 27th. Amazing scenery in the private Terlingua Ranch.

Everyone:

Thursday:
All rider meet and greet High Sierra Lodge 7pm Thursday, Feb 27th. Cocktails starting 4pm.

Friday:
Richard's Desert 200 / 400 Friday, Feb 28th.
Or
Ride your own route with friends

Cocktails 5pm Front PorchTerlingua

Dinner, 7PM Starlight Theatre

Saturday:
Mextrek's Dos y Dos to Boquillas Saturday, Mar 1st
Or
Ride your own ride with friends.

Saturday Night Banquet in Terlingua location tbd.

Sunday:
Return home Sunday, Mar 2nd.
Or
Optional Canyon Hiking outing in Closed Canyon. And scenic riding to Presidio and back via beautiful Higheay 170

Like Rob says -- there will be tons of Large and Larger bikes out there. Some of the Jeep roads like River Road in the BBNP are challenging on a Honda Africa Twin, Loaded BMW etc. but they will tackle it for sure.
 
I'm considering going, but I don't know yet if work schedule will allow. In the meantime, what's the address for the meetup? I would like to look it up and see how long it would take me to get there by car or by bike.

Just use Terlingua, TX. It’s not a big town.
 
Been 5 times. From the Austin area it's 500 miles each way. Unable to join this one. I watched that BDR-X video today. Old Ore Rd will remain my favorite (in the park).
