Most awesome riding day ever in the park , Ross maxwell both ways , a mile or so in river road then back out , Glenn springs and pine canyon to the trail head and back , the basin road to the road block and back . Beautiful , setting at chili pepper eating dinner now . Big D and Pansy rode with us for some of it . I love this place . SEYA

Pretty, I just wish the weather was cooperating a little better for travel to get down there. As of right now it doesn't look so good until Tuesday.

Only 1 local and a handful of tourists on the porch today.

Monday afternoon on the observatory loop.
Observatory was closed.

We went 118 (very slowly) to 166 (even more slowly) to 17 then south to Study Butte. Took 7 hours to do it since half was in snow. Just took it easy and chugged through it. Ended up being a good day, just not the day we had planned. Kind of like every trip out here.

Thomas , I don't know what to thank about you. Lol. Brave or just plain nuts ??? lmao. Braver than me anyway. :)

Signatures? We don't need no stinking signatures!

A little of both, and some stir crazy. Can't stand sitting around waiting.
Truth be told, I picked up that big green beast twice in the four hours we spent on that loop, but I fully expected to do it more. TKC70s just weren't built to handle that kind of terrain and traction control wasn't built with that in mind either. At 10-20 mph though the consequences aren't that dire. It turned out to be a really fun day, but definitely tiring.

Today we made it into the park. Ran into some other TWTers that were headed to river road. Did that on my CRF250L last month and had a blast. Did it on my GS last year and not interested in beating up the GSA so headed to old ore Rd and had a blast there.

A visit to the hot springs and a ride back to BBRA in the dark to a microwaved dinner rounds out another fantastic day.
Some of the tent campers had a campfire going but we were just too pooped to go join in the festivities. Hopefully will catch everyone tomorrow.
