I'll wave on the way thru next week , my shortcut to NW Colorado is 69 to county rd 1 then Leadville , Yampa and west .

That's where I usually stop. Missed it last time, it had grown up so much I didn't recognize the exit and drove right past it.

FWIW
drivetexas.org shows construction on 152 going into Dumas. Starts just east of 1913

no remarks about Dalhart

Crap crap crap I am gonna hate following this thread. Maybe next time.:headbang: I heard of several places in CCity that is good eats. Bunkhouse Burgers,Chucks Seasoned Grill,and Chicago Bobs BBQ. If you go it is mandatory for a food pic.:photo:

From Amarillo, I take Old Tascosa Road to Boys Ranch, then up to Channing, over into NM, to Amistad, then Clayton, thereby avoiding Dumass & the plain ugliness of the area.

Sweet!

I head out tomorrow morning around 5:00am for an 1100 mile drive to Laramie, Wyoming. That's just the first day. Second day is another 550 miles over to Rigby, Idaho, where we will unload and drop off the truck/trailer. Then 8 days of camping off the little bikes as we make an 1800 mile loop through Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana with a bunch of other old farts from Advrider.

Have a safe trip and take LOTS of pics. I look forward to a report the moment you get back :-P

Should be in Cotopaxi by 630 or 7...

Dalhart and Dumas both had construction last year , dalhart seemed to move faster . One way going up the other coming back . That road from Amarillo to boys town would be fun on a bike , little narrow rough and crooked for a truck and trailer running 70 .let me know how dalhart is , I'll be thru there next Wednesday .
