Witnessing my 4 kids entering the world was most memorable of course but otherwise my most memorable Father's day was in 2005 when I brought my first bike home.
I started going on short group rides with some great folks called the HalfFastRiders.
I wanted more so my good friend Jeff took me to the Texas Hill Country. I was hooked.
Russell, another rider friend showed me in pictures it was possible to tour cross country on a 600 Bandit identical to mine.
So off I went and my annual "snow hunt" tradition began.
Somewhere along the way I stopped caring that people thought I was obsessed. But they were right.
I've managed to see both coasts. . . .
And mountains.
I've ridden in over two dozen states.
Some folks say I'm "certifiable" too.
I was hoping to have ridden 150k at this point but work gets in the way. My 10 year tally stands at 131,000 glorious miles. I feel like I'm just getting started.
