Selling this Strom since I have a 19 Tiger 800 that does the same things

I recently traded my nicely farkled 2013 Tiger 1200 for this lo mile 2012 V-Strom 650 Adventure with a long list of farkles already done. See the list below...

The Adventure comes stock with hand guards.. an MRA designed Vario windshield ..SW Motech designed engine/fairing crash guards..quick release side carrier racks w/ION type alloy cases + a top case plate. This bike also came with the optional ION type alloy top case.

I did not want the side or top cases so Tim kept those along with the case mounting hdw. I have the racks. He may be interested in selling the cases if you are interested. The Vario shield is not available
First 3 pics show the bike with full factory Suzuki luggage set. Next 3 with Givi top plate only. Last 3 show Motech racks & Altrider plate with Givi side cases.

As purchased add ons...
Suzuki center stand
Rox pivoting handlebar risers
SOLD wide footpegs (stock incl)
AdventureTech footpeg lowering kit
MRA Xcreen Tour wing on stock shield

Fenda Extenda on frt fender

& heres what Ive added & done to the bike since I got it in May...

New Suzuki owners manual
Like new Haynes service manual
New GoldWing 1800 footpegs
New Alpha Rider fork brace
New stainless black radiator guard
New Givi tanklock ring for tankbag
New Phillips amber LED position lights
SOLD New 40W LED fog lights
relay wiring & switch still on bike
New Emgo air filter (orig good stock incl too)

I removed body panels & tank to replace the air filter. Checked the spk plugs (Iridium) & cleaned the engine/frame area of dust. I do not think this bike was ridden off pavement much if at all based on lack of real dirt underneath panels.

I also checked the VIN with Suzuki to make sure any recalls were done. Brake light switch & stator were done in 2017 as per Cust service. The bike runs smoothly. Rear suspension is lowered a bit but stock side stand still works properly & center stand can be used without any problem lifting.

I think Tim said he had replaced the fork seals & used 15wt fork oil with a fork spring mod recently. He bought the bike with a bit over 10K miles on it last Summer so any of his work on it was done between 10K & 15K

Come to Waco & see it....

I replaced the fork oil with Lucas 15w and inverted the stock springs with tighter windings on top. Was a very noticeable dampening improvement. No need to upgrade any further, IMHO. I rode it in 40 to 100 degree weather and it worked great.
The bike is a very smooth and comfortable ride. Works for tall, short, newby, and veteran riders. GLWS

New pics

Suzuki Side racks..top plate & Givi E21 side cases have been sold to a DE buyer on ADVrider

$4500 gets ya either the Givi Monokey top plate, or the Altrider top plate...no side racks or cases

Price now at $4500
I rode the Strom down to Walburg for lunch at Dales Essenhaus...puttn on anuther 175 miles or so. The bike rides so easy & handles great on all the lil skinny pavement...or highways. What more could ya want.

I miss my 2012 V-Strom. It just did not have enough ground clearance for me. I don't know this motorcycle or seller, but I would highly recommend this year and model. They are rock stars on reliability and fun. Throw on a skid plate and there is not much this bike cannot get to (it's not a BDR bike).

I have completed the East Texas 450 (deep East Texas Sand) one out of three times. The completion was on my V-Strom, I had mechanical problems with my KTM EXC 530 twice. :-)
