Post your ride reports for the 2-27 ponder pie ride here!

This was absolutely gorgeous weather for riding. Enjoyed the meet up and talking with all the folks.

After leaving there Steve and I made a little 160 mile loop up north to ride the twisty back roads like 697 from Sherman to Whitewrite. Bike thermometer set on 71 or 72 the whole ride :rider:. Didn't even have much wind until we headed back into the Dallas area.

Great turnout and met some fine folks!
Weather was perfect!

Well that was fun. 250 miles and no hiccups. But, it appears the fuel virus has infected another rider. Hope he made it home OK.

I'm thinking those ADV doods were messing with me and the cruiser. U-turns on a pig trail, blasting through 10' long sections of gravel and bouncing through paved whoops with 1 5/8" suspension travel.

Leaving Decatur I spotted a pair of albino Rucki in their natural environment.

What a great day ...

Wonderful food, ride and people :thumb:

By the way Tossing Lead, you were talking about changes to the GL, maybe this would give some ideas

Enjoyed the ride, food and meeting people. Allen made it home. Said he had read that adding the extra fuel filter can cause the issue. Hope that addresses the fuel virus. Again, we had a good time.

Didn't ride, didn't take a single picture... had a wonderful time and strawberry rhubarb pie because... YUM-burp. A beautiful day to have a bike running - glad everyone was there!

I had a great time. Very nice to meet a lot of great folks and I look forward to the next one. I have to admit that went the cobbler route....not exactly pie but oh well!

Thanks for the concern, I did make it home. I was having vapor lock issues. At least, that is what I think the problem is. I added an external inline fuel filter the evening before and have since read on some F650 forums that others have had an issue with this as well.

I have ridden the bike 50K miles with no external in line fuel filter so I may just remove it if it continues to cause issues.
