I took this bike on a long ride last Summer and had a blast. Ride report here: https://www.twtex.com/forums/threads/half-cdr-cobdr-2020.124776/#post-1705904
  • 2013 non-California version
  • Delkevic 19" stainless steel exhaust installed (stock exhaust included)
  • Sergent seat (stock seat included)
  • Happy Trails heavy duty tail and side racks installed with new Givi E22N cases that replaced the ones I took on the ride linked above. The new ones have gone on two little day rides.
  • Heavy duty rear spring installed for my weight (220lbs) + luggage. I rarely bottom out now. The stock is relatively weak. I may still have it if you're interested, but unsure.
  • Stock bars replaced with slightly higher rise, which makes the ergonomics perfect (for me).
  • Brand new grips.
  • Heavy duty (aluminum?) skid plate
  • LED headlight is super bright; taillight also LED.
  • 19,000 miles
  • Runs perfectly and starts right up.
  • Oil changed 400 miles ago
  • Throttle and clutch cables replaced (pre-emptively before the big ride) at ~14,000 miles.
  • Front sprocket moved up one tooth for lower highway RPMs. Stock and new +1 tooth countershaft sprocket included.
  • Has Shorai battery purchased in 2016, but the bike needs a new battery as this one no longer holds a charge for any number of days. They say shelf life of ~5 years, IIRC.
  • Tires are TKC-80s. Rear has more to give, front is cupped. Both safe to ride but not ready for heavy dirt.
  • Maintenance records since I purchased in 2018 (this is my second XT) with 11,500 miles.

I'm asking $2,300 on TWT. Happy to answer any questions.

-Randy

What is the seat height as it sits now?
It's still stock suspension other than the stronger spring, so seat height should be 31.9in. When I'm off the bike, the rear shock extends fully (no sag).

If you'd like an exact measurements, I can measure it.

Is this a carb or injected bike?

Injected. WhenYamaha brought back the XT250 in 2008, they used carbs. These bikes are solid but can be challenging to start cold. Beginning in 2013, they switched to EFI which is super easy to start. I've even pushstarted when it had a dead battery.
