Ever heard of Ninja Rocks? I was reading on the Honda Twins site and apparently a guy had the porcelin parts of his plugs broken off and stolen. A guy suggested that these were used for "Ninja rocks" and here is what I found:

Actually I've head that they are used to make crack pipes. Unfortunately, a much more likely scenario.

If I remember right, that American kid who got caned publicly in the Philippines (I think that's where is was) many years ago was doing this to cars.

Singapore is the place that usually canes Americans for doing stupid things

I thought the kid was tagging cars with spray paint.

We find the spark plug insulators with pieces of thin nylon twine going through them. The car burglar uses it like a slingshot, twirling it and slamming it into the window. Tools of the crime ...

Yes, the kid was convicted for graffiti.

As for the spark plugs - wouldn't it actually be easier just to pick up a rock?

Not when your creeping through dark streets with your grubby little car -burglar backpack and you have to work fast. Many professional burglars will break the window by using a small crowbar or very large screwdriver jammed under the edge of the window near the area of the lock. We had one car burglar that was so good at this technique that it was his calling card. I knew he was out of jail and back in business by examining the point of entry (POE).
