Just my $0.02. Coming from the Houston area, you can’t lose either way. On a weekend, the three sisters will be relatively crowded with lots of bikes, some riding very slowly, and lots of cagers out for a weekend ride. Not to mention the local constabulary. The three sisters is a fun ride for sure, but I think the rides that Sander hosts are much more interesting. These rides typically avoid the high interest, high traffic areas. I’d expect some water crossings and a little dirt or gravel on the group ride while the three sisters is all pavement. There will be plenty of twists and turns on the group ride, maybe not as technical as the sisters but equally interesting if not more so. Compared to the Houston area, either ride will seem like a roller coaster or race track. Not hating on Houston area, I was born and raised there. Born in Baytown, raised in Anahuac, and lived 7 years in Dayton as an adult. Glad I moved to the hill country area for the fun riding.
