I’m sad to see this one go. 2015 KTM 1190 Adventure S (19” front wheel, 17” rear wheel). Has taken me on multiple adventures to Oaxaca Mexico, Colorado BDR, Smoky Mountains, Arkansas, New Mexico BDR and several others.
I bought this bike to replace my Super Tenere, the Tenere was a very capable bike but it was heavy. When i bought the 1190 i was looking for weight savings so most of the mods were for that purpose.
For a long time i was torn between the R and the S, 21” front wheel vs 19” front wheel. Ultimately i decided on the S and i’m glad i did. It has electronically adjustable suspension, more than enough ground clearance, and tire selection for both onroad and offroad riding is more plentiful in a 19” size. I have never been riding offroad on an adventure bike and thought “i wish i had a bigger front wheel” but i have been riding an adventure bike onroad and thought “i wish i had a smaller front wheel”.
I am the 2nd owner, when i bought this bike it was 1 yr old and had about 2000 miles on it, odometer currently shows 26,200 miles. All maintenance is up to date and completed per the maintenance schedule mostly by me. The only issue i’ve ever had was a leaky radiator which ktm fixed because it was a known factory defect.
Mods include:
-Rottweiler air filter system with SAS and carbon canister delete
-Rekluse auto clutch, you probably dont think you need this but when you’re tractoring up Hurricane pass in CO you’ll be glad you do
-Rumbux full set of crashbars and skidplate. In one word “Bombproof”
-Offroad dongle, allows use to use low octane mode and retain abs settings when switching off ignition
-KTM touring comfort seats, all day comfortable
-KTM tail rack
-MRA vario windscreen, small winglet piece missing on left side
-Superduke exhaust, about 20 lbs lighter than stock with the perfect sound and if you damage it you can get another one on eBay for about $90
-Touratech raised fender mod, raises the front tire fender about an inch to avoid getting packed with mud
-Engine heat mitigated by installing all of the heat deflectors and covers from the newer KTM bikes, heat is no longer an issue on this bike
-Euro turn signals
-GPS mount bracket over dash
-Touratech pannier rack
-Touratech radiator guard
-R&G front headlight guard
I’m sure im forgetting something, i have all the stock parts as well.
Asking $8,100 OBO. Located in Vidor, TX
