EX450, costs 700 more than MC450, but MC sold yesterday so doesn't matter at this time!

absolutely , only way I'd consider one. they have a few cost savings differences and just looks great in RED, lol! Most KTM dealers sell them and parts exchange so all good! Did I mention I like the red! ha
 
Seems I read a while back 450 sx bikes only have a 4 speed, so possibly 1st is pretty close to regular 2nd.

Depends on team. Factory Kawasaki used to run. 3 speed transmissions for supercross.
