Low Water Crossings?

I've taken some hard falls crossing said slime. Last year I rode Hackberry Rd. on my 400 DSR and crossed 5 or 6 moss covered concrete crossings without falling. The secret to my success was a bit unorthodox. I put both boots in the water while straddling the seat, sliding them along the concrete like outriggers while feathering the clutch and easing forward. I was solo and the thought of trying to pick my bike up was a good motivation.

The crossing on Hackberry that you have to make a turn in is fun . One of the James river crossing is the only one I ever had to pick a bike up out of , the street tires on the 950 KTM pretty much sucked on that one .
