MXDN

Looks like you did it up right, John. Well done.

A couple thoughts on the actual racing:

  • France is going to be the favorite next year if they have Ferrandis and Renaux available again. Ferrandis was the fastest rider as far as lap times all weekend but got taken out in his first moto (and raced up to 6th) and then made a mistake in his 2nd race while he was leading. The MXoN is in France next year too.
  • The other French rider Renaux is going to be a force for many years. As talented as any and still very young.
  • Australia could be a regular podium country for years to come and can win if the cards go right. Jett was fast on the 450, and comfortable.
  • Jago Geerts from Belgium is another young rising star. He stayed glued to Tomac for almost 20 minutes in the first moto Sunday.
  • The Team aspect to the racing was really cool to see unfold. Tomac won the first moto and then all three rider managed their races as a team, with no individual goals.
  • Justin Cooper was amazing. To run the 250 near the front in those wet deep conditions with 450s was the ride of the weekend. I was worried about his starts but he got great starts in both his races and was the top 250 rider without a doubt.
  • Sexton has so much talent that he can finish top three in an international race and still ride at a controlled pace. Incredible.
  • Tomac was relaxed and happy all weekend. The leader of Team USA by example and also approach.
