San Antonio Area Adventure/Dual Sport Rider Breakfast Series planning

That's allot of stress for that to happen. Should be able to bring that to a welder and have them tig weld it. Should be good to go, but I would check alignment on mounts when putting it back on to make sure nothings in a bind.

Life has been busy. Hopefully less in 2023.
I plan to take the old KTM 690 Enduro on some light to moderate DS riding tomorrow. If it's KTM-ness presents itself, I'll switch to a CRF250L. After an early lunch, likely leave my Lakehills home about noon. It's been since early Sept., so likely shake some dust off in 1-2 Medina Lake bed areas. Then maybe part of 211 and Pipe Creek & Bandera area dirt roads.
Let me know before 11:00 am tomorrow if interested in joining.
I hope to go riding again Thu or Fri. GSL Ranch should be open Fri per their FB page. I still haven't made it back since they reopened.

Just wondering, are you riding GSL on Friday? I have shoulder PT late afternoon, but could perhaps warm it up for the guy if you are still going...

Late notice, riding tomorrow out of Flatonia at 7:30. Meet up at police station, 230 mile dual sport loop! Sorry for late notice, but I will be doing several rides out of canyon heading west. Some will be over night rides 2 to 3 day rides.

Heading out

@oldmxer , I didn't make it last weekend. This weekend isn't likely with pending chores. Maybe Sun. afternoon. Big maybe.

Had a great day did 240 miles. Great roads and great weather!
Pictures look great...
Question, on a mostly road trip like that what were the typical speeds? I see a DRZ with you, so just wondering... I am outfitting my KTM for more adventure and less full offroad. so trying to figure out the gearing but I still want it trail capable. Thanks

We trailered to Flatonia. We had a good mix of dirt and paved county roads. A couple of short jots on highway to get to next road. But we do rides from Canyon Lake area. I keep my speed on the road down around 60 for the dr. We have left my house and road 280 mile loops with a combination of paved and non paved roads, and the DR does fine. I have a KTM 690 and a Yamaha T700. My friend Tim aka F350 on twt has done a lot of dual sport rides on his DR. Look him up and talk with him, he will give you some info on his set up!

This was the route, I picked it up out of Flatonia and back to Flatonia.

Thanks for the GPX. might try it one day. Post up when you are leaving Canyon Lake area. Me and a buddy ride 500s.
We both live close to Spring Branch rd. and Acker

Will do! I plan on riding one day next week. Will post it up a couple days early! I have some guys out of Katy area that might tag along. I have ridden with a guy that lived off 281 and Guadalupe river before. You guys probably have ridden with him, his name is Jack Henry. Great guy to ride with!
