Just east of my house in Greenville. I put on about 300 miles yesterday on mostly dirt roads.

Got Rachel out for a nice ride this evening after washing the bike. Only her second time out. She’s not fond of dirt roads... yet... so we stuck to pavement. It was a beautiful evening!

Hopped on the beemer and rode down to Beeville to meet up with stromxtc. He took the lead, as usual, and we headed to the coast ghost town of Indianola. Our first stop was in Port O’Conner where we ate lunch at Cathy’s. Good seafood but be very very patient for the waitress.

A nice shrimp and fish plate and we are back on the road. If you do a giggle search of Indianola you will see it got wiped out by hurricanes and they finally just gave up and moved. That’s pretty much what we saw. You really need to use your imagination that anything resembling a town was every really here.

Then stromxtc spotted something !

Oh wait, it was just a big rock. Hehehe. So then we headed home the scenic route and found a few miles of dirt road and one which made me wonder which direction we were going.

All in all another great day on the bikes. 347 miles for me and thank you baby Jesus I never needed the jump box to start the bike. New battery isn’t in until tomorrow. Thanks Stromxtc for getting me outa the house.

So....me & a few of the locals rode out to Sanderson for the road race this weekend..
And along the way I wanted to check out some of the paved county roads west of Junction.
We started by stayin in Sonora for the nite Thurs. Up the next mornin ...hedded to The Caverns of Sonora first. We were on RM1989 already..so continued south to CR110 loopin back north to I10 & RM1312 then back south on 1989 again. This time continuing south on CR410 to CR101...& again..back north to I10
CR110 & 101 were both great roads....no traffic to speak of....& just enuf twisty bits & hills.
Next time Im out there I wanna check out Crockett CR406 & 405...RM2083 & RM1024
Pecos Co Gray Ranch Rd & Puckett Rd near Ft Stockton....
Sutton CR306 ..406 & Kimble CR210
All of these CRs paved & mostly smooth

Now....on to the lil gem I travelled today

Sutton CR307... No...I didnt go across the natural rock crossing since the other guys had gone home already & I was alone.
307 was a marvelous (but short) bit of pavement along the North Llano River...CR310 connected to I10 near the crossing

&...Kimble CR260 near Roosevelt
Yes...it was snot slick..so no go
