2015 Colorado Adventure - TShelfer & Kickstand-Prophet Ride West

Great report you two. Really enjoyed the pictures.
Now, more than ever, I am determined to find some time to ride those roads.

Thanks for taking the time to write this up and share your ride.

Tom you would have had a great time. The views were breath taking. You could stop every few miles for another scenic picture. That is the problem with northern NM and CO. We tent camped the whole time to save money. Lots of good memories and thinking already of next year.

Yeah, but next year, YOU lead, Drew, and I'LL take the cop pictures.

Thanks for the excellent ride report and photos.

Y'all are definitely whetting my appetite. I'm heading up that way on 7/18 with five other riders (a Winger, one Victory and 3 :eek2: HDs) for a week. We'll be trailering through the brown, hot, flat wastelands of northwest Texas like y'all did and basing out of South Fork at a friend's big cabin. This will be my first time riding Colorado and also to be in that part of the state.

Counting the days.............

You are going to have a nice time. Two things that does not get mentioned enough is gas is higher there and speed limits in most towns can be 15MPH. Make sure that you have good brakes also for the mountain passes, they are awesome.

Your pics sure make me lonesome for some wandering about Colorado. Stirred many memories for sure. Thank you.
LOL 12 over. Around here your allowed 9 over. Trips the radar alarm at 10 most times. Also another little known one is passing more than one vehicle at a time on two lane roads.
Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
