The 500 F interests me...but dead on color. Can't Honda make it more interesting?

Looks good and I like that color scheme, but there is somehting about a 160 rear tire on a sport bike that bothers me.

The number of times I’ve considered a 500r is not zero. I love riding my 500x that much.

On a bike this size the lighter tire is much more important imo. My 500x came to me with a 170 on the rear and going down to a 150 was a noticeable improvement.

I went down to a 150 rear on my CB500X. That gives me the same size as my Vstrom rear tire so that I can keep a new tire in the garage as a reserve that can be used on either bike.

I thought the X also had a 160 on the rear?
I believe that's the factory sizing. It's rear tire is very oversized and the PO of mine had a 170 on it. One nice thing no one really talks about with the Rally Raid wheels is that the rear is narrower so iirc I can run down to about a 130 width tire. But the factory wheels should support a 150 without issue.

The 150 is nice because all the big adv bikes ran them for a long time so the selection is huge and in compounds that wear like iron on the smaller and less powerful bike. I've seen reputable reports of rear TKC80s getting to 9k miles on these.

I have a Shinko 805 on now but my next tire may be a 130 series TKC80.

So I went to look at the little CBR. It looks even better in person. I also saw that Honda fits Michelin tires to this little bike. Nice!

I think I would pull the trigger on a cbr500r as a commuter bike if they would bring back the white/red coloring. Maybe just a hair less black and red stripes in it than the 2018 model had. I already have a gunmetal grey honda, so I need something different! :D

That rebel looks nice. I think the coloring fits it much better than the 500r.
