Pie Run I: 5 Year Anniversary in Hico - c-c-cold!

For your feet, use a body or hand warmer in your boot under your toes. Either tape the pack to the underside of your toes or toss in where your toes are on top of and the rest of your foot will stay warm.

I need a hood that covers my neck and lower face.

I love my microfiber one - nearly twice as long as a standard neck roll, so I can pll it up over the top of my head and turn it into a helmet liner/balaclava/neck roll and it's still long enough to tuck into the neck of my jacket and not worry about it pulling out.

Here was my take and point of view of the Pie Run.

:tab Just so you know, in case you didn't, the Pie Runs are monthly. So this wasn't really a 5th annual event so much as a 5th anniversary of doing the monthly Pie Runs. Hico just happened to be where we held the first Pie Run. They are done all over the state on the last Saturday of each month. This month's event is in New Waverly. I think someone mentioned snow...? :huh2:

Or you could always ride a BMW airhead :rider:

Great trip report, all. I'm looking forward to New Waverly.
