Took a ride northwest of home today.
Went from Katy to Chappell Hill via back roads. Went up FM 1155 to Washington on the Brazos:
Even at 10 am there was still a bright moon in the sky (pic does not do it justice):
Rode up to 105 and headed west, planning to go to Brenham, but saw a little side road and took that instead (CR 95 in Washington County).
Made my way to FM 390. It was a beautiful road. Minimal traffic, high speed and some decent curves.
I rode through Independence Tx and stopped at the original location of Baylor College.
And there was also an old house there:
Kept riding on 390 till it hit 290 and I headed back towards home.
Stopped at the Chappell Hill Bakery and Deli for some BBQ:
Then headed back home via FM 362 from Waller to Brookshire, then back in Katy.
It was a perfect day for a ride. Nice to get out and think about nothing except how pretty it is.
