Post your Day Rides Here!

And when the mesquite trees start to pop out the leaves you know the heat is not far to come. Still early, never ready to see winter leave in south tx

When I ride I love old homesteads, and often stop and photo or rest and look. There won't be any someday. If only they could talk. a lot are share cropper houses . The first one I call a tar paper shack. The siding looks like bricks but is thick tar shingle like material. Ask This Old House (PBS) :). Old gas stations also. Thanks for posting everyone.

Followed the lonestar loop from stockdale to utopia, then fm1050? To hwy 83 to concan today. Was a good route. Weather was horrible. May have took a spill on a low water bridge and bruised my hip and ego.

Low budget dufflebag in a trash bag strapped to the fender.

Southtex tagged along until Pleasanton.

A retreat, bunch of folks who dont drink anymore
I just rode instead of drove
Perfect excuse to ride somewhere. I always try to ride somewhere with a purpose but most of the time it's just joy riding. I missed a dispatch for the airport holiday inn today when i was in corpus. I may sneak out there in the morning and take care of it (so I can close it out for this week) I dont like to do jobs off the bike cause i usually need my tool box i call my pickup but this is just a preventative inspection job for one unit so i may get away with it. And would satisfy the 2 wheel addiction. Enjoy the weekend sam.

Took a short ride close to home, temps in the 60's and the wind was calm, better take advantage.

Been on the side lines for a couple of years so I purchased a nice used 2015 BMW R1200RT in January.

Weather being what weather is in North Texas not a lot of time so far on the new bike.

I was able to get out this past Saturday for a nice ride.

Leaving Alvord at 8AM stopped at Brandy's Country Kitchen in Bridgeport of breakfast. (See Below)

With a full tummy and a full gas tank. I hit the road to Perrin, then took 4 to Graford, back up 16 towards Graham, but cut off on 1191 to Bryson, then back to Jacksboro for a nature break and a shot of water. After than I Headed North on 148 then turned East going to Post Oak, Newport, Vashti, and was planning on getting a burger at the Rack in Bowie. I forgot it was "2nd Monday Trade Days" an all the restaurants were packed so I headed to Nocona and had a sandwich at the local DQ. I wanted to go through Caps Corner cause it is a nice rolling ride back to Saint Jo and then 1655 home.

Apart from the wind it was a great day to ride and I am in love it my new RT.

Sooooooo, 254 miles later, six hours from start to finish, here is a picture of my Breakfast. (I like hot sauce)

Sounds like a great day on the bike.

1655 is a fun road to ride. When I ride over to Forestburg, I get a burger at "The Burg" (great burgers!) then head north on 677 to St. Jo, then take 2382 up to Bulcher... I'll have to stay on 677 next time I'm over that way & check it out.
