Random pics of TWT riders

You actually remember your ride? I would have thought they'd have drugged you to the point you were in a haze... Although, when I was in an ambulance, they didn't give me jack for the pain until I got in the ER and they had time to figure out all that was wrong. Then it was like, "Here is some morphine. You might feeeee..."
Shoot i got morphine twice n Tylenol codeine etc all night, didn't help abit. I was awake the whole time, remember every detail.

Yup cramped as ****, took a little nap. But overall fun n memorable n expensive $97k.

Don't remember the crash but the trip from the road to chopper in the field was unbelievably painful. I was just praying I'd pass out. Once in the chopper they shot me up with some awesome happy juice, and quite frankly, I really enjoyed to chopper ride, which was about 75 miles. To Gina's point, my feet were right up against the windshield and my head was back next to the medic. My view out the side window felt like I was flying outside.

Loading me in. Thankfully you can't hear all my groaning :-)

Omg that triggers the memory of being carried to the chopper. That was the worst! I think they had to climb over rocks or a ravine - Idk, but it was not fun.

Maybe we should start a war story thread. I know people have some real doozies

Yeeesh..... come in for some photo fun and I get all these busted up people in choppers!! :eek2:

But really glad y'all are recovered to tell the stories. Mine's funny, but nowhere near as bad or graphic.

War stories? 2 chopper rides, 4 air transports. Only 1 ambulance ride due to motorcycle.

But not to derail the thread

Mishaps and unfortunate but I wouldn’t classify as war stories. I have a significant amount of experience with rescue and recovery missions and many extractions under fire; those are war stories.

I agree. Mine was meant in jest so I edited mine also. But I will defend mine from the above post. Mine took place starting in a rice paddy in SE Asia.

And again in keeping with the thread.

Sorry but I have demons from 50+ years ago. Never was involved with any rice paddy pick ups. Majority of my experience involved C-130 jumps into Laos or Cambodia, rescue or recovery, call in a gunship to clear an LZ in the jungle and chopper extraction.

This is the first one I thought of. Took me a while to find it. Big Bend 2017. He told me to remember his name to just think of the Simpsons.

That's me! Just put my first scratch in my brand new 690. I remember well riding with the Queen Clan. Killer riders. Was an awesome day. Well, until you fileted your arm. I also remember hiking down to the Window of Time (or whatever) and you kicked our butts on the way back up again.

Great day. Hope to ride with y'all again some day.

I have not, but have read a lot of his post starting his son riding. Haven't seen him post in a long time.
He is still active on FB. He has quite a large group of adventure riding friends and they to a lot of trips over in that area. I think his son is close to my son's age, 16-17?

Does Medicare cover heli rides or would someone ask you to pay up ?
According to:
You’ll pay something depending on if you do or don’t have supplemental insurance to cover what is not covered under part B.

Did he post in the 20th anni thread, or did I imagine that?

Grease monkey at his place in Buffalo Texas, anyone know his whereabouts?
I have not laid eyes on him since that weekend we all went up to Centerville and stayed at his cabin and rode all those sandy roads! That was back when I still had my KLR 650  I've not heard from him or seen him here in a very long time. The last time he logged into TWT was March 25th of 2019.
