Itchy Boots - Kalahari to S America to Alaska to Africa to Asia

Although, she did do a meet and greet and Q&A at some kind of motor camping expo once. But that was when her channel was growing and hadn't blown up.

Her biggest issue is that she has some minor fame and social media will be against her in the USA. Having the custom bike and helmet, there'll be folks posting that they saw her or her bike for sure.

I don't think she minds being recognized or running into random folks. However, we all know that if people know her route and time schedules, some idiot is going to do something stupid or malicious.

The boat trip was crazy but that's why I enjoy her channel. I wonder if she'll do a meet and greet when she makes it to the states.
That would surprise me based upon her overall penchant for privacy, but I bet she'd get a huge attendance if she were to do one. The downside might be that people would know when and where she was and then try to follow her, ride with her, intercept her, etc and she's been pretty clear about not wanting to do that.

Based on watching some of her after ride interview videos, I think it would be plausible that she might do something after finishing up. Or if held over someplace for a significant amount of time.

I think a Zoom call or a YouTube livestream would be entirely feasible if she was held up in one place for a period of time as people wouldn't know where she was, and as you said "after she finishes" she could start doing some public appearances. I can see a book in the future along the lines of what Charley and Ewan have done in the past to recap their journey.

I understand the safety side of it being that she's a young-ish, single, blonde hair-blue eye'd female traveling alone, it's a recipe for disaster if there are creepers in tow. That said, you can't hide from sponsors and supporters if you're in the public eye and your entire existence and base is solely dependent on viewers/sponsors/fans. I've never been one to geek out over celebrities, I don't really care to be honest, but I do support what she is doing and if I did bump into her I'd at least want to say hello and thank her for her journey and subsequent content and wish her luck.

I actually wonder if her videos are released weeks after she has cleared area. I will have to watch for that
I'm sure you're right she's probably a thousand miles away from there by now.

I commented on her YouTube channel to get to Texas ASAP haha. She probably rolled her big blue eyes when she saw that comment.

Probably depends on planned route and what time of year she's transiting the US. The continental divide would be a great route, but not in the winter, for example.

I wonder which state she's going to come up through?
My thoughts.. after her harrowing journey through Mexico 🙏...she should enter through Brownsville and show off SpaceX Boca chica 🚀. Proceed through the back roads of South Texas 🤠, see the Alamo (and a nice hotel 🏨), and into the Texas Hill country. Travel over to the Big bend (plenty of geology to talk about ⛰️) then link up with the New Mexico🏜️ bdr and beyond. :pirate:

Wonder how she knows all these places to sleep and eat each day? I guess everytime she goes out of sight of her bike she has to pack her gear. What about laundry? I guess the sink or shower when nessasary.
It is tough to go anywhere and stay overnight without reservations. She is good and may be the best traveler I have ever seen. She never get's upset when someone tries to cut her off or run over her bike. She will hit sidewalks easements or anything to get out of traffic and will pass on a dime. Good thing she doesn't have saddlebags the tight places she squeezes through on the bike.

According to SocialBlade.com, the ITCHY BOOTS channel (with just over 559K subscribers as of 10/20/20) earns between $1,700 on the low side and $27,200 on the high side. The variance is caused by the advertising shown at any time. To help put that into a daily range, it's between $60 and $900.Oct 20, 2020

I think she'll do just fine.

Do you watch Lyndon Poskitt (Races to Places) or "On her Bike" (Kinga). I started out watching them before Itchy....I wonder about all of them. The other two camp alot more than Itchy does however.

I think after Iceland she was done with the camping aspect of travel. :lol2:

And if we think her daily income numbers are valid there's no reason for her to camp to try to save a few shekels here and there. Some of the places that she stays at are probably only $20/day or less. Although she can probably afford to stay at Hiltons in the larger cities, I bet her Patreon contributors would fall off drastically if she were to do that. ;-)

We don't see all her days, just her riding days, so I'd bet she stays in better places occasionally, she just doesn't show it. I wouldn't be surprised, nor would I fault her, if she spent a few days at a spa after the three horrific days spent on those tiny boats.

I don't get too much into all that. I like to see the areas she rides in and interaction with the locals. She can stay wherever. I admire her ingenuity on making a living doing something she likes. I watch pretty much all the other adventure riders as well. These are my favorites in addition to Itchy:
Pedro Moto
MADTv
On Her Bike
Races To Places
Got2Go

Ok this last episode got me scratching my head! Don't want to give spoilers, but she is insanely brave or she got a rescue party around the corner.

I'm really enjoying these videos. She might be well into Costa Rica now as I think she is riding about 2 weeks ahead of her posted videos. I am feeling more anticipation as she gets closer to countries that I am familiar with. Would be cool if she took the bike via ferry over to Roatan while in Honduras. I would think she will ride to Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. I would shoot right through Belize if I was her. Don't stop in Belize City. Will she ride up Baja Peninsula to Cali? I think she should ride north through heart of Mexico. She needs to hit Copper Canyon then up through the mountains in the vicinity of Monterrey and on to Tejas? No clue what she will do in the U.S.
