Wow. Glad it's not worse than that.Decided to share this one. Got this while rebuilding the nose gear assembly on the 150.
I can't see with my left eye due to retina damage ans a cataract. I have surgery this coming Thursday to fix a retina bleed, then cataract surgery the following Thursday.
Didn't see the prop tip after Jerry rotated it, and got a good reminder it was right there!!

Ouch!
Daughter bought her first street bike. We got one quick ride in before I gave it a good once over. Now we are learning about proper maintenance.
Don't see no motorcycle on there....

Curious as to what you used to strip it.Finally took pictures of a project my son and i worked on in the garage. Stripping rust out the fuel tank on our Honda passport scooter
That prop now has a pool noodle on both tips so my head won't damage it!!Yeah, you could have hit your head and damaged the prop!
Didn't get a picture of it but it was part of a kit. Here is the coating which we will do next. https://www.amazon.com/KBS-Coatings...qid=1710858263&sprefix=kbs+fue,aps,128&sr=8-1Curious as to what you used to strip it.

"old" is a relative term. That bike looks almost NEW to me!I’ve been resurrecting a beat down old KLR. Today I finally rolled it off the lift and put a few miles on it. Everything seems good so far.

Now I’ll put it back on the lift for a thorough check over front-to-rear to make sure no problems surfaced on the initial ride.
It started off pretty horrible in my opinion. Someone had sprayed it with bedliner or PlastiDip. I immediately brought it home and shut it in the garage out of sight until I could get it spiffed up a bit.
I used a torch and a heat gun. It’s absolutely the wrong way to do it, but looks better than it did to begin with. What technique did you use on the plastic. Looks great.
